Developed by MachineForest Ltd, this program provides a secure websockets connection to the Dataplicity service, making it compatible with firewalls, NAT, and other network obstructions.
The Dataplicity client uses a secure web connection to establish a communications channel between your device and Dataplicity, allowing you to access your Raspberry Pi shell through a web browser. Unlike other similar programs, Dataplicity does not require the enabling of SSH, telnet, or any other network services. The client is self-contained and does not open any network ports on the device, ensuring the security of your Raspberry Pi.
To use Dataplicity, you will need to install the Dataplicity agent on your Raspberry Pi. However, it is worth noting that the agent does not run as root. When logging into the Dataplicity shell, you still need to explicitly ask for super user rights to gain full control of your Raspberry Pi.
